A swarm arrived yesterday at my bank of old boxes used as bait hives.

After about 20 minutes, the bees were in the one box. All I needed to do was add more frames.

This morning they were settled in a new box and quietly going about their business pollinating the neighbours' gardens and hopefully bringing in a little excess honey.

Swarm #2 of 2016. Not as big. This box had a couple of drops of lemongrass oil as well as an old frame. The box was in the exact same spot as the box where swarm #1 took up residence.

This swarm must have arrived unnoticed yesterday sometime.

The box was in the same position as Swarm 3/2016.

This swarm took over a box that was in the same position as swarms 1 & 2. I was away for a couple of days and the bees had already built a lot of comb from the lid.
